Focus Jane, focus

We all know it is hard for the brain to focus on the task at hand when your heart is elsewhere.  And so it is with Jane Taber.  Sent by her employer, at great expense no doubt, to cover the Liberal Convention in Vancouver she can't help keep an eye on the activities of her true love back east.

This is not convention-related. But, Prime Minister Stephen Harper is going to play the piano in public today as part of the opening of the new Royal Conservatory of Music building in Toronto.

It's the first time he's been back since graduating with his Grade 9. He'll be playing four chords as part of an online exercise with children. There isn't a piano that he can pass by without trying out.

I suppose we can be thankful that the Grope and Flail wordprocessing software doesn't allow emoticons.  But even as a puff piece this is a bit embarrassing.  Four chords?

Maybe she is looking for an exit strategy and sees Duffy as an inspiration.

Perhaps Rae should challenge Harper to a duel on the ivories - Harper wouldn't have a chance in hell.

Unless it was broadcast on CTV. Then Harper would get as many do overs as necessary.

Hi Constant Vigilance,

Well, perhaps better for the public that Jane stick to reporting the small stuff, as it seems that she doesn't get the other stuff right but that doesn't seem to bother her.

Hey sassy,

I suppose if her intent was to misrepresent Ignatieff in the Conservatives favour then she did get the other stuff right.
