Lawrence Martin in the G&M today

Lawrence Martin has an interesting take on the inevitable death throes of Conservatism.  I would recommend giving it a read.

I disagree with this statement

Canadian Conservatives don't deserve to be tagged with the miscarriages of the Bush administration.

but the rest is pretty good.  The Conservatives are a branch plant operation of the Republicans.  There are differences in the names of the scandals but the essence has the same odour to it.
